Position Title: A major producer of Off-Highway equipment has asked Prairie Engineering to fill a job vacancy for a contract professional.  The successful candidate will provide engineering analysis support to the engineering group at Wichita, KS.  Frame structural analysis is the big ticket with some support needed for powertrain components.  Life predictions will be done for nodular iron castings, weldments and forgings.  The winning candidate will function as a Pro/E design engineer when analysis work is not available.

Requirements: Must have a BSME or MSME in mechanical engineering and have finite element analysis skills with 2 years experience with Pro/Mechanica.  Must have 4 years experience in design of Off-Highway equipment, large trucks or powertrain components with 2000 + hours of Pro/E experience.

Location: Wichita, KS

	Pay rate: $37 to $42 per hour

Position Title: Off Highway Design Engineer/Designer

Job Description: A major producer of Off-Highway equipment has asked Prairie Engineering to fill a job vacancy for a contract professional.  The person who fills this position will help with the design of structural main frame, engine installation and trim, dual hydrostatic drive with integral steering, hydraulic controls, lift and dump hydraulic cylinders, and front loader boom and geometry.

Requirements:  2000 + hours of Pro/Engineer with releases 2002, 2001 or 2000i.  Experience in engineering and design of frame structures, sheet metal, drive train components, fluid power systems, iron castings and electro-mechanical controls.  Familiar with off road equipment or mobile machinery.  BSME, BS (Engineering Mechanics), BSA or BSMET preferred.  Pro/Piping experience desirable.
